Frequently Asked Questions

Here you can find some answers to frequently asked questions regarding your booking and what to expect.

FAQ's

Below are some of the most common questions and answers to help you make the most of your visit to Menevia Spa.

Do you have on site parking?

We don't offer on site parking, we recommend using the Merrivale carpark  which is a short walk away, or there are a couple of other carparks throughout St David's that allow you to wonder around the sites and shops.

What do we bring when we are booked in for the bathhouse?

Please bring swimwear and clean flip flops and a bag for your wet items. We provide water, gowns and towels.

What do we wear for treatments?

For body massage treatments underwear is compulsory.  You only need to remove your tops and remove straps for facials, or you can remain fully dresses and just remove your shoes and socks for reflexology. Swimwear is compulsory for the bathhouse.

Can we come early for coffee?

Please only arrive on time as we are unable to offer a coffee shop service before or after your appointment. Our treatment time is dedicated to clients while they are here for their treatment slots. Hot beverages are primarily for those waiting in-between package treatments (one after the other) or during pedicures where hands are free.

We also can't recommend caffeine just before entering the bathhouse or while you are in there as the caffeine may cause adverse effects due to the heat.

Your visit is about making the most of the heat therapies and holistic treatments which is what we prioritise, there isn't generally time between changing and your treatments for hot beverages unless you exit the bathhouse early, but then we are likely to be occupied with other customers during their service time.

We can recommend a number of wonderful cafes in the local area, within walking distance, to go and enjoy post visit.

How do I book with a voucher?

Vouchers are currently unable to be redeemed online, you can use our booking system to find a day and time available that suits you, then contact us direct via phone or email (email is best) and state the date, time, treatment, your name, email and mobile number and the voucher code. We can then book this in manually for you.

Vouchers have a strict 12 months and your booking must fall within the valid dates.

I've booked online and given my card details, have I already paid?

When booking online you will be asked to confirm your booking with a deposit. This will come off the balance and the remaining amount will be charged on the day.

Can we book treatments at the same time when we book an Escape or Retreat Ritual?

Bookings online are set up to be: Bathhouse together followed by your treatments one after the other.  We can offer treatments at the same time, please leave a note or contact us direct to ask but generally only bookings made far enough in advance (3-4 weeks) can be at the same time.

Can we book a group during the week?

During the week we prioritise treatment services for individuals or package rituals (bathhouse and treatments) for pairs. Our space is small and intimate and we found groups create too much noise which can disturb other guests. We only have two therapists and two treatment rooms so accommodating group treatments requires too much waiting time in-between appointments which we can't accommodate at a level we would feel you'd be happy with.

We can offer group bathhouse experiences on a Saturday, with the option of a private yoga class, for groups up to 6 people, but treatments aren't available.

What is your cancellation policy?

All bookings require a non refundable deposit as confirmation. You have until 24 hours before your appointment to reschedule but after that time the booking will be cancelled and you will need to rebook with a new deposit. No shows will be charged 100 % of the booking. If this isn't paid you wont be able to rebook until it is.

Vouchers redeemed as deposits, same applies, the deposit is non refundable and the same cancellation applies.
